Auditions will be held between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 24, 2022 in Jensen Hall at the Stephen's Performing Arts Center. Please fill out and submit your registration form by September 1st.

Eligibility
•    Students who are currently enrolled at Idaho State University. 
•    Idaho State University alumni who graduated in 2021 or 2022.
Repertoire
•    One movement of a standard concerto 8-20 minutes long (or equivalent selections not exceeding 20 minutes) with accompaniment should be prepared. Vocalists may add an additional aria or song to meet the minimum time requirement.
•    The piece must feature the soloist with standard symphony orchestra accompaniment. Instrumentalists and vocalists will be considered in the same pool.
•    The piece must be published and available through reliable commercial sources. For the audition, memorization is encouraged, but not required. Cuts to the solo part must be approved.
•    In the event that orchestral parts are not available for your selections, the ISCS may contact you for an alternate piece. If you have questions, please contact the ISCS Librarian at iscslibrarian@gmail.com.
•    Contestants must provide three (3) copies of the piano accompaniment with the solo part for judges. Photocopies are acceptable.
•    Judges will hear the contestant’s selection in its entirety (no longer than 20 minutes). If your piece is longer than this, cuts to the solo part must be approved; cuts to accompaniment are encouraged, but do not need prior approval.
Auditions
•    Selection must be no less than 8 minutes and no longer than 20 minutes. 
•    Memorization is encouraged, but is not required.
•    Entrants must provide their own accompanist.
•    Auditions will be held on September 24, 2022 in Jensen Hall at the Stephens Performing Arts Center.
Awards
•    One winner will be chosen; however, judges reserve the right not to choose a winner.
•    The winner will perform as the featured Guest Artist with the Idaho State-Civic Symphony during the 2022-23 Classical Concert Season on Saturday, February 25, 2023.
Registration
•    To apply, please complete this registration form by September 1, 2022.
•    Repertoire selection will be required when registering.
•    No entry fee is required to participate.
