audition info

Auditions will be held on Tuesday, August 17th in Jensen Grand Concert Hall at the Stephens Performing Arts Center. Woodwinds, brass and percussion will audition during the afternoon/early evening and strings will audition in the evening. Prepare three contrasting excerpts that demonstrate tonguing facility, lyrical playing,range and power. If you have an etude that demonstrates these requirements you may replace an excerpt with that. Also prepare a solo. 1st movement of Vaughn Williams concerto preferred.
